Centralized Wastewater Treatment for DHA Lahore

DHA Lahore manages housing and municipal services for a significant portion of Lahore. One of the major environmental challenges faced by the community is the effective management and treatment of domestic wastewater.

Background

Wastewater treatment remains a major environmental challenge in Pakistan. A considerable quantity of wastewater generated in urban areas is discharged without appropriate treatment, while functional treatment facilities remain limited.

DHA Lahore faces a similar challenge, where domestic sewage is discharged into streams connected with the River Ravi without prior treatment. This creates environmental, public-health and water-resource-management concerns.
